Archaic Capitol: This capitol is derived from the Archaic Greek period and features an early variation of spiral volutes. The image is painted on antiqued linen. George limited the pigments used to render the capitol to those available during that era. The original painting measures 17" x 6" and is one of eleven sections of a facia line mural 21' long installed in the sitting room of a San Francisco residence.
