This kitchen had retained the original upper cabinets but the lower cabinets had all been replaced. Using paint ghosts found on the wall behind the newer cabinets, new lower cabinets were designed that matched the originals. New cabinets were added to the right of the vintage stove for more storage.The original green subway tile backsplash was still there, but the countertop had been replaced with wood-grain laminate. New tile countertops were designed based on a fragment of the old countertop tile that was found in the backyard.
