The Loring House, a Berkeley City Landmark designed by architect John Hudson Thomas, had long been painted white with dark trim. Working with the owner, a new color scheme using khaki for the stucco, taupe for the trim, with sash and accents the color of old redwood was chosen, enhancing the house's Prairie/Secessionist architecture.
