Hillsborough estate

Hillsborough Estate (Photo 2) - A large estate with several different gardens, each of individual character, drawing inspiration from around the world.

Commanding sweeping views of the bay this expansive estate presents a cool classic facade to the street giving no hint of the rich diversity of its gardens. Ranging from the formal elegance of the pool garden's Wisteria draped columns to the exotic naturalness of the Balinese garden, with its pavilion and Indian sculpture, this garden is at once bold and romantic in it's architectural themes. The underlying concept of the design is the contrast between manmade and natural elements, formal architecture and exuberant plantings creating varied settings for outdoor living.
