Tiburon residence

Tiburon Residence (Photo 2) - The transformation of a typical California Ranch house into the setting for a noted Bay Area Asian Art Collector.

This entry garden acts as a bridge between the public activity of the outside world and a private home, our goal to create a quiet contemplative space highlighting several works of Art from the owner's collection of sculpture. The natural stone textures of the courtyard's surface immediately distances you from the street outside's concrete and asphalt. The Japanese inspired Arbor defines the entry, drawing you in as antique Balinese temple guardians stand sentinel, you then cross a symbolic stone 'stream' enhancing the idea of an inner and outer lives.
