Erik Kramvik Design

interior and building design

Erik Kramvik provides design services for the restoration or rehabilitation of historic buildings. He has worked on projects ranging from the restoration of numerous Victorian row house facades in San Francisco in the early 1980's to the complete rehabilitation of building interiors in more recent years. His design experience includes both residential and commercial projects in a wide range of period architectural styles.

After studying architecture at the University of Minnesota, he embarked on the first of many trips abroad to explore architectural history first hand. His extensive collection of images of world architecture has provided the basis of many slide presentations about the history of architecture and the architects who created it. This ongoing experience continually informs the design work he undertakes for his clients.

His work emphasizes collaboration with talented artisans to create classic environments that are sensitive to the needs of his clients and respectful to the history of the buildings in which they are located.
