Arts & Crafts style Bedroom in a contemporary (early 1970s) building in San Francisco. This room shows how a simple arrangement of moldings has been applied in a period-style configuration to completely transform a nondescript, modern space (with a standard-height 8 foot ceiling) into a harmonious Arts & Crafts-inspired retreat. The serene space is enhanced by a recently handcrafted bed and nightstand (by Debey Zito), Craftsman style pillows and a portiere (by Dianne Ayres), and a painting by San Francisco artist John Freed (photo from Inside the Bungalow.)
